As a Data Engineer, you will join the high-impact Impairment Squad within the Risk Tribe, where you will use your technical skills to design and build data solutions. This squad ensures accurate and timely reporting of financial losses on loans, manages IT systems, handles data, produces standard reports, and shares information about loan risks with external parties. While working on innovative solutions to business problems, you will also have the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of Danske Bank’s business model.
Additionally, you will be part of the Data Engineers chapter, a community of highly skilled engineers who share your passion for data and technology. The chapter promotes continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and ensures best practices are spread across the tribe and organisation.
Mission
- Be designing, developing and implementing end-to-end data solutions, focusing on both ETL and Mart levels
- Understand how data is extracted, transformed and loaded for BI purposes, how it influences decision modelling and the overall risk management
- Drive the optimization and automatization of the existing flows and processes in the systems
- In collaboration with other Data Engineers in the chapter, you will build a solution for reliable, robust and easily accessible risk data repository
- Consult other engineers, data scientists and analysts from other areas in the bank on risk data related questions
Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong understanding of ETL processes and data modelling
- Extensive hands-on experience with SQL, including T-SQL/PL-SQL
- Advanced proficiency in Python/Pyspark for data engineering tasks
- Proven experience in working with Cloud technologies (preferably AWS), managing Infrastructure using IaC tools, and implementing CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to see the broader picture while effectively understanding detailed data usage, dependencies, and relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly explain IT concepts to non-technical colleagues
- Academic background in Computer Sciences, Statistics, Physics or Mathematics

We will ensure that exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary range from 3440 EUR to 5160 EUR gross EUR/monthly).
Your title in job contract will be IT Software Engineer (Data Engineer).
