The Group HR Tax department in Lithuania is newly established and expanding into a team. We are looking for a colleague based in Vilnius who thrives working as a partner and is keen on transforming legal complexities into practical solutions that would fuel significant changes on the employment tax agenda within the largest Danish Bank.
The purpose of Group HR Tax is to ensure effective risk management and governance concerning employment taxation, with a special focus on cross-border working arrangements within the Danske Bank Group that is supported by employee engagement.
This is an opportunity to join the founding team and make a contribution to the future of the HR Tax area. The position will allow you to leverage your professional tax experience by not only focusing on tax law analysis and advice but also growing professionally by turning theory into workable practice. You will gain a holistic view of the international financial organization from the inside, understand the operational context, and contribute to building a comprehensive global compliance framework supported by technology-driven processes.
The workplace is located in Vilnius. Danske Bank supports workplace flexibility (we currently use a hybrid work model, where we work at least 3 days in the office).
This role does not include a relocation allowance for candidates who are not based in Lithuania.
Depending on your experience, you may be offered a different level of seniority in the role.
Mission
- Conduct in-depth analysis of legislative rules and organizational data to assess risks and leverage your skills in finding practical solutions that meet business needs
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and various departments within the Bank to understand existing practices, identify challenges and opportunities, and propose risk mitigation measures, compliance process design
- Participate in planning and strategic decision-making on the tax and compliance agenda for the Group and support the development of HR Tax compliance governance
- Act as a regulatory subject matter advisor, track progress in compliance implementation and improvement projects, technology innovation
- Oversee Group-wide compliance processes to identify evolving risks, analyse cases, and suggest possible remedial actions to address them
- Monitor compliance with internal rules and facilitate the completion of required activities through continuous collaboration with compliance handling teams
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in international personal taxation and social security. Knowledgeable in managing large-scale employee global mobility and/or business travel taxation programs is beneficial
- Academic background in Management and Business Administration, Tax Law, or a similar field would be considered beneficial
- Solid understanding and ability to interpret tax and legal requirements in a cross-border context
- Analytical mindset with creative thinking, problem-solving, and critical judgment abilities
- Mature discipline with a sense of ownership
- Effective collaboration, coordination, and planning skills
- Upper-Intermediate English skills, both written and spoken

We will ensure that exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary range from 4840 EUR to 7260 EUR gross EUR/monthly).
Your title in job contract will be Consultant - HR, Chief.
