IT Chapter Lead for Risk Tribe

Each of these squads are self-organized teams empowering its employees to take their own decisions while working on the end-to-end delivery of products and services.

We are aiming at transforming the way we develop Risk management solutions in the bank, therefore, we are looking for someone who has continuous improvement mindset and is willing to drive transformation in this area.

As a Chapter lead, you will be HR responsible for c.10 developers working on risk management solutions. Besides being an HR leader, you will be also placed in one of the squads developing Risk management solutions, which will enable you to maintain and develop your hands-on technical skills.


As a Chapter Lead you will have a split responsibility:

  • You will be the HR manager for other skilled mainframe engineers, you being accountable for them growing both on a professional as well as on a personal level
  • You will be responsible for driving modernization agenda in your squad
  • You will be responsible for embedding best engineering practices enabling building state of the art IT solutions
  • You will work closely together with the IT Tribe Lead, Tribe Architect and the other Chapter Leads to ensure we attract, develop and retain a team of highly skilled and motivated individuals with a strong team spirit
  • You are responsible for your chapter and support chapter members in any need they have related to HR or their area of competence
  • At the same time, you will be an active member of a squad with a dedicated area of responsibility and delivery focus – doing coding, solution design etc.


As Chapter Lead you are a supportive and listening leader, with a strong technology base.

  • You are a catalyst leader and embody that in how you approach the work
  • You have a strong technical profile and ability to develop and motivate others, at the same time as being able to define the HOW, you having a good understanding of IT architecture and hands on experience with solution design
  • You have a natural interest in seeing, challenging and fixing areas which could be improved, both in and outside the tribe
  • Either you have been a leader for some years, with an engineering background, ready to do IT development once again. Or you come from a senior or chief developer positions, with the interest and motivation to try out leadership
  • If you did work in agile setups previously, this being an advantage but not a prerequisite
  • You are experienced in development with COBOL/PL1 or other similar procedural programming languages covering all phases from design and build to deploy and run

Professional experience in the following is key:

  • COBOL/PL1 or other procedural programming languages
  • Testing automation
  • Working proficiency (written and spoken) in English
  • Passionate about leadership and people development
  • Your greatest assets are your passion, a “yes, we can” attitude, creative problem solving skills and your ability to self-organize and work autonomously with the mandate to move fast and do things differently – you also dare to fail and learn from it
  • Besides, your abilities to put the customers first, collaborate with many different types of people, challenge ideas, and self-develop are essential

We offer:

We will ensure that exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary range from 4960 EUR to 7440 EUR gross EUR/monthly).

Your title in job contract will be Squad Leader (Chapter Lead).
