Senior IT Procurement Manager
Area
As a Senior IT Procurement Manager, your primary responsibility will be the procurement of Software, Hardware and IT Services, managing sourcing projects from demand identification to contract sign-off. This role presents a valuable opportunity to contribute to Danske Bank’s IT strategy implementation, playing a vital part in cost optimisation, compliance projects and category management.
You will join our IT Procurement team in Lithuania, a subset of Strategic Sourcing Procurement, working alongside a network of over 20 IT Procurement professionals based in Denmark and Lithuania. Together, we deliver comprehensive IT procurement services to the entire Danske Bank group.

Mission
- Engage daily with a variety of stakeholders, identifying and understanding their requirements and demands, and assisting them in business case preparations
- Procure IT solutions, SaaS, software, services, focusing on commercial competitiveness, risk management specific to financial institutions, and overall expenditure
- Implement sophisticated sourcing activities (RFx, tender, etc.) in line with industry standards
- Manage outsourcing contracts in accordance with EBA regulations
- Facilitate commercial and contractual negotiations, working closely with specialists from Legal, Compliance, Performance Management, etc., to ensure alignment with business needs and Group policies
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reductions on a regular and proactive basis (e.g. supplier rationalisation, demand management)
- Present sourcing cases to management
Skills
- 3 – 5 years of experience in IT procurement or indirect procurement, and a solid understanding of procurement processes and functions
- Knowledge of Software, SaaS, and PaaS from a commercial perspective; commercial awareness
- Sophisticated negotiation and contract drafting skills in the IT arena, including knowledge of basic legal terms and contractual obligations
- Initiative in stakeholder management
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to present effectively to stakeholders, vendors and senior management
- Demonstrated experience in project and program management, with a focus on the implementation and delivery of results
- Experience in sourcing IT hardware and telecommunications categories would be appreciated, as is knowledge of outsourcing in the financial sector
- Effective research and analytical skills
- Advanced English language skills

We will ensure that exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary range from 3520 EUR to 5280 EUR gross EUR/monthly).
