
Software Engineer (Cloud) in Network Connectivity Services

We are seeking a Network Automation Engineer to join our innovative team focused on enhancing network efficiency and reliability. This role involves developing and maintaining automation solutions for critical infrastructure components, requiring a strong understanding of public cloud technologies and operations, as our current focus is on utilizing public cloud services.
At Danske Bank, you’ll be part of the Network Connectivity Services team, which provides modern, secure, fast, and reliable services to around 20,000 employees and millions of customers worldwide. As a Network Automation Engineer, you’ll collaborate with skilled colleagues across Infrastructure and IT development teams, working on next-generation automation technologies that power our software-defined hybrid cloud environment and corporate network.
Additionally, a strong understanding of DevOps practices is important for this role. You will leverage DevOps methodologies to improve system reliability, scalability, and efficiency, ensuring that our network services meet high standards of performance and availability. Your ability to apply DevOps principles will be key in driving continuous improvement across our infrastructure operations.

The workplace is located in Vilnius. Danske Bank supports workplace flexibility (we currently use a hybrid work model, where we work at least 3 days in the office).
This role does not include a relocation allowance.
Mission
- Deliver value to Connectivity Services stakeholders through innovative DevOps tools and practices
- Co-own and evolve network automation platforms, taking full responsibility for product development
- Ensure timely and comprehensive delivery of automation capabilities, enhancing self-service options for our organization
- Participate in the exciting evolution phase, expanding our network to hybrid and multi-cloud setups
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and enhance the efficiency and reliability of network automation solutions
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Possessing a collaborative and proactive approach, with strong analytical skills and a focus on finding solutions
- Responsible approach to IT security, prioritizing safe and sustainable practices
- Practical experience in Python and API-first automation by applying Domain Driven Design
- Experience in Terraform, IaC, and GitOps is appreciated
- Familiarity with containerization technologies is beneficial
- Basic knowledge and practical experience with data centre network technologies
- Advanced English skills

We will ensure that exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary range from 3520 EUR to 5280 EUR gross EUR/monthly).
