Engineering Manager

We are looking for a new engineering manager who wants to lead the development of a mission-critical enterprise system for the global insurance industry. The ideal candidate has great people management skills and tons of experience with modern engineering practices, such as CI/CD and security vulnerability scanning.


As an engineering manager you will be responsible for two cross-functional, agile teams consisting of about 15-20 great people in total. Your job will be to ensure that the people are motivated and productive, that the teams are using solid engineering processes and practices, such as CI/CD and API best practices, and deliver well-engineered products to the global insurance market.

The tech stack is based on Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Oracle ADF (JSF), Java, and Spring Boot.   


Your tasks will - among others - include:

  • Define goals for the teams in collaboration with product management.
  • Implement engineering practices and guidelines.
  • Handle impediments escalated by the agile teams.
  • Help people in your teams grow through coaching and feedback.
  • Nurture a positive team morale through team building events and celebrating successes.


You will report directly to the CTO and work closely with the other members of the R&D management team, including product management.

You will be working out of our Vilnius office. As your teams consist of people from both Denmark and Lithuania, you should expect a limited amount of travel between our offices when traveling is permitted again.


Your competencies include those listed below:

  • A bachelor’s degree (or similar) in computer science or software engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing engineering teams.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies, such as Scrum.
  • Hands-on experience with modern engineering practices, such as CI/CD.
  • Interest and ability to continuously learn new things within software engineering.
