Task information:

  • The Order Desk Specialist is a customer facing part of our Operations team
  • This position will join our Global Order Desk and Operations team which supports the SMB, Enterprise, Channel and other global sales teams
  • As the Order Desk Specialist, you will take the lead on contract review and facilitate the deal approval process with the various key stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, and Legal) to help shorten the length of the sales cycle and improve quote accuracy
  • The Order Desk Specialist will ensure that all deals in contracts are reviewed, structured, consistently evaluated, approved, and closed as quickly and efficiently as possible
  • The position will be required to process incoming orders ensuring compliance with company policies, ensuring exceptional service to our customers and provide regular communication of order status to our sales team
  • Take ownership of closing sales opportunities efficiently and ensure opportunities complies with company policies
  • Will support assigned sales team and will assist other coordinators as needed
  • Provide exceptional service to our customers and highly accurate input into our customer relationship management system (Salesforce.com)
  • Responsible for compiling reports on order review SLAs
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer service and streamline order processing
  • Manage communication with assigned sales teams and customers
  • Provide a customer centric environment to better support sales, operations and customers
  • Assure quality of all completed orders by resolving any issues or discrepancies
  • Have a hands-on approach to complex situations/escalations and work to resolve them
  • Lead opportunities review with assigned sales team and cross functional operations and support teams
  • Execute quickly and adapt to a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Evaluate current processes and offer recommendations for areas of improvement
  • Additional functions within Sales Operations & Operations as requested by management

Requirements:

  • An aptitude for acquiring skills in technical areas and an eagerness to learn.
  • Be able to contribute in a wide range of capacities to an entrepreneurial environment
  • Be flexible and available for being cross-trained on multiple job functions
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or other quantitative related fields
  • Strong experience with MS Office / google docs
  • Possess the ability and desire to process a high volume of orders into our ERP and CRM systems with accuracy while looking for opportunities for improvement

Company offers:

  • Minimum 1-2 year of sales, operations, sales operations or deal support experience
  • Experience in a POS technical support environment is a plus
  • Experience with ERP software.  (NetSuite preferred)
  • Experience with CRM software.  (Salesforce experience preferred)
  • Experience with a ticketing system.  (Zendesk preferred)
