My name is Maria Norris and I am leading People Analytics team within Telia Company.

Telia is on a change journey as we are transforming our business to become the leading purpose-driven digital telco in the Nordics and Baltics. Our ambition is to create the best customer experience, and to do so we need to aim for the best employee experience and the most engaged employees. The transformation also put demands on the people function to convert into a more digital, insight-led and data driven function. To support the transformation Telia have established a People Analytics unit that is responsible for proactively supporting and enabling the people agenda and execution with relevant insights and analytics.

I am currently looking for People Data Analyst  to join our team in Vilnius.

As a Data Analyst, you will work within the People Analytics team to empower business leaders and HR with data and insights to make better informed decisions, understand and improve their organizations. You will be a key player in creating and visualizing insights connected to our strategic direction for relevant stakeholders.

As a data analyst you are detail-oriented and conscientious, analytical and curious. You are a strong problem-solver, who uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to get things done. You will work closely to our IT team to leverage on current BI tools as well as to HR IT solutions to safeguard relevant reporting and dashboard structure based on business needs and insights. And on top of it all, you are someone who wonders "What if?” and then seeks out the solution.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Scope and create use cases by collecting and combining information from different data sources based on business needs and execute them. Act as a thought partner to design and measure the impact of surveys, experiments, and interventions.
  • Manipulate and analyze large datasets to distill insights from data and convey findings to executive audiences. Create effective, scalable, and easy to understand insights boards
  • Build relationships and collaborate with teammates, business leaders, and people community to solve organizational problems.
  • Work through ambiguity (e.g., create structure from nothing, develop deadlines), and connect disparate ideas into cohesive, well-grounded recommendations, using creative, structured, and analytical thinking.

Your experience:

  • Experienced. You’ve done this before. +3 years’ experience as data analyst or scientist. Preferably experience from working with people and/or financial data.
  • Technically minded: a spreadsheet whiz. You are an advanced user of Excel and/or other programming skills for statistical computing and graphics, like R or Python. You have experience of BI, analytics and visualization tools, preferably Qlik and/or Tableau.
  • User-focused. You are continuously simplifying data through storytelling to increase the usage and understanding of people data
  • Unfazed. You can work in a fast-paced environment, change directions with the business and effectively and decisively communicate with business executives.
  • Story teller. You enjoy turning data and insights into relevant stories.
