We handle smooth partnership with customers through modern digital on-boarding, secure communication, signing and authentication journeys – and we are looking for our next Senior Android Developer.

We are a squad of 12 skilled professionals who work with customer authentication apps. We develop and own security apps to protect major customer-facing solutions in the Danske Bank Group. The balance between customer experience, security and protection against the increased cyber-crime is key for us.

We are looking for a skilled Android mobile engineer who wants to be part of building the next generation of application security solutions for one of the largest banks in the Nordics.

Mission

• Play a crucial role in shaping the future of our mobile security applications
• Build and support Danske Bank mobile security applications for a variety of markets written in native Android using Kotlin and Java
• Participate in reviewing other developers’ code and provide constructive feedback
• Design and discuss new technical features with developers and stakeholders
• Work closely and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including business analysts and stakeholders to ensure alignment with client needs and organisational goals
• Handle project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in an agile, self-organizing scrum team
• Support and mentor junior engineers, ensuring an environment of learning and growth

Skills

• Have the curiosity, intelligence, and motivation, tied with the enthusiasm that we value more than anything else as well as communicate clearly in approachable and professional way
• Have expert level experience of Kotlin and Java programming languages and Gradle build system
• Possess a solid understanding of design patterns and architectures (MVP, MVVM)
• Have extensive experience with Reactive Programming (RxJava 2) and interfacing RESTful APIs
• Have strong debugging, troubleshooting & general problem-solving capabilities as well as solid testing foundation (TDD, Unit, UI, Integration etc.)
• Have proven experience in secure coding practices
• Have a degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD technologies and tools as well as experience with Shell scripting, native iOS & React Native development would be considered as a bonus
• Upper-Intermediate English language skills

We will ensure that exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary range from 4240 EUR to 6360 EUR gross EUR/monthly).
