Accounting Consultant

The In-Country Accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with local requirements. The role works closely with external tax advisors and supports reporting under the guidance of the Finance Manager and CFO.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Closing

• Maintain general ledger and accounting records in line with local GAAP and IFRS
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing (accruals, reconciliations)
• Process invoices, manage payments, and monitor receivables
• Perform bank reconciliations and support cash management

Tax & Compliance

• Prepare and provide data to external tax advisors (VAT, CIT, payroll taxes)
• Review tax outputs and support communication with authorities

Reporting & Audit Support

• Support monthly management reporting and annual financial statements
• Provide documentation and support during audits

Collaboration & Improvements

• Work closely with central finance, external partners, and operations
• Contribute to process improvements and system efficiency

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GL, AP/AR, and closing processes
• Knowledge of local GAAP and basic IFRS understanding
• Experience working with tax advisors or auditors
• Good Excel and accounting systems skills
• English and local language required
