Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

• Take full ownership of the global marketing P&L and set brand strategy across Europe and the US.
• Lead Head of Performance, Creative, Marketing Data, Project Management - one direction, not five agendas.
• Build a position premium enough that we set the price, not the market.
• Define who we're really selling to in each country - and adjust when a market proves you wrong.
• Decide when to move beyond performance channels (TV, YouTube, influencers) and defend that call with data.
• Report to the CEO directly and make the case for brand investment in numbers leadership can act on.

• Built or repositioned a consumer brand up-market - and can prove it moved awareness, consideration, or pricing power, not just campaign metrics.
• Run brand and performance together, not just one side, and made them pull in the same direction.
• Comfortable doing the work yourself in a smaller team - we don't have a big agency roster to hide behind.

Good to have:

• Marketed across multiple countries, ideally Europe and the US - you know Berlin and Boston need different messages.
• Sold physical products people research before buying - furniture, home goods, anything with real consideration time - on your own site and on Amazon.

You take ownership before someone asks, and you're fine making the call without a committee.

If your background is purely advertising or media buying, this isn't the role - that's Head of Performance, and we  have it covered. And if you've only marketed software or subscriptions, this will feel like a different sport.
