DevEX Platform Lead

Alter Domus is seeking a DevEx Platform Lead to drive the strategy, architecture, and enablement of our internal developer platform and platform engineering practice adoption. This role focuses on empowering engineering teams through world-class platform services, developer experience, and infrastructure automation across Azure and AWS environments.

As Developer Platform Lead, you'll own the vision and execution of platform engineering initiatives that accelerate development velocity, improve system reliability, and establish best practices across the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

• Own and continuously improve the internal developer platform.
• Enhance developer experience (DevEx) across engineering teams.
• Collaborate with application, platform, SRE, and cloud teams.
• Improve development workflows, CI/CD processes, and platform usability.
• Evaluate and introduce modern tools, including AI-assisted development solutions.
• Drive adoption of best practices through hands-on contribution, knowledge sharing, and enablement initiatives.
• Measure and track improvements in developer productivity and delivery performance.

• Strong hands-on software development background.
• Experience building internal tools or developer platforms.
• Experience working with modern development environments, cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure).
• Good understanding of developer workflows and challenges.
• Knowlegde in DevOps and platform engineering concepts.
• Interest in improving developer productivity and engineering practices
• Personal projects or portfolio demonstrating initiative and technical curiosity would be an advantage.
