Electronics Engineer
Job description:
As our R&D efforts continue to grow, we are looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our R&D team and take full ownership of the custom PCB development lifecycle, from idea to production. You will:
Join projects at the earliest stage, starting with requirements definition.
Turn requirements into schematics and PCB designs.
Bring your designs to life through several iterations of PCB assembly, testing, and debugging.
This is a hands-on role, meaning that you will work with all the tools yourself. No worries – our hub includes a well-equipped prototyping workshop that has everything you will need for mechanical and electronics work. Of course, a team of helping hands is always available when needed. And sometimes you’ll be on the helping side too, when a colleague shows up with a fried PCB:)
Here are some of the PCBs and circuits you would work on:
- Power conditioning and switching stages.
- MCUs (mostly STM32 ARM-based).
- Simple sensors and peripherals.
- Servo motor drivers and controllers.
- General-purpose UI elements such as LCDs, LEDs, and buttons.
- Common comms interfaces such as ETH, UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN.
- High-speed signal routing for USB and ETH.
And for more advanced challenges:
- USB hubs and Ethernet switches.
- PCI-USB and PCI-ETH bridges.
We manufacture these PCBs in small quantities and integrate them into all the airborne systems that we sell.
Requirements:
- 4 years of practical electronics development experience for real products.
- Ability to independently select components, design schematics, route multilayer PCBs, prepare PCBs and documentation.
- Good fundamentals in power design, grounding, protection, and signal integrity.
- Comfortable with common interfaces such as ETH, UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN, as well as simple sensor/peripheral integration.
- Comfortable with hands-on prototyping and integration.
- Solid bench and fault-finding skills.
- Proficiency in Lithuanian and English, including the ability to read and write in technical English.
- Ability to work on-site in Vilnius.
Bonus points for:
- Experience with embedded firmware development, especially STM32 ARM based.
- Experience designing for EMI-sensitive environments.
- Experience managing thermal loads.
- Experience with high-speed circuits (USB, PCI, 1GigE, and similar) beyond basic routing.
- Share your personal projects – they could make a big difference in the hiring process!
Company offers:
- A growing, engineering-driven team with clear opportunities for professional and career development.
- Flexible working hours.
- An office and workshop environment in Vilnius, well suited for hardware development, assembly, and testing.
- Open workshop facilities for personal projects.
- Exposure to aviation and cutting-edge geospatial tech.
- A real chance to influence company-wide technological decisions through ownership.
- Exciting team-building experiences, from scuba diving in the Red Sea to safaris in Tanzania.
- Opportunities to get on an aircraft, test your creations, and see the big picture.
