Engineering Manager

We’re looking for someone to lead and manage an engineering team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, driving technical excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business objectives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Take ownership of delivery and engineering excellence across several internal engineering domains, including Internal Tools, Data, Payments, and future business-critical platforms;
• Lead, mentor and develop engineering teams through regular 1-on-1s, feedback, career development and coaching, creating an environment where engineers can grow and perform at their best;
• Ensure predictable and high-quality delivery by establishing effective engineering processes, improving team productivity and continuously raising delivery standards;
• Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand priorities, translate business needs into technical initiatives and align engineering work with company objectives;
• Provide technical guidance on architecture and system design, helping teams make sound engineering decisions;
• Drive improvements across engineering practices, collaboration, tooling and operational processes to support a fast-moving multi-project environment;

• Previous software engineering background with hands-on web development experience (technology stack is less important than strong engineering fundamentals);
• Experience leading engineering teams, including people management, coaching, performance development and creating a healthy team culture;
• Good understanding of software architecture and distributed systems, with the ability to discuss high-level technical solutions and guide architectural decisions;
• Strong delivery mindset with experience improving engineering processes, team effectiveness and execution predictability;
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and business teams and translate business needs into technical direction;
• Comfort working in a dynamic environment with multiple parallel projects and changing priorities;
• Fluent English.
