Now is your opportunity to join the Machine Learning team at Danske Bank’s 1st Line Financial Crime organization. Our team is pivotal in developing fraud detection machine learning models that score transactions in real-time. We also explore and implement machine learning models for other use cases within the department.

We are seeking a Data Scientist to enhance our team, which currently includes 2 dedicated experts based in Lithuania. Python is our primary programming language, and most of our applications are developed using Python.

As part of our team, you will engage in ongoing and new projects across various areas such as Fraud Detection, Transaction Monitoring, and Sanctions Screening.

Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer you different seniority of the role.

Mission

• Develop new and maintain existing machine learning models using Python
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers who manage the machine learning platform, as well as with Analysts from various relevant teams
• Develop a machine learning model on a new AWS platform to detect fraud in business customer transactions
• Explore new ideas and create Proof of Concepts to optimize decision-making in various areas within the 1st Line Financial Crime division

Skills

• 3+ year of experience in an analytical or Data Scientist role
• Proven ability to analyse large and complex datasets
• Proficiency in Python and commonly used machine learning packages (such as pandas, scikit-learn, pyspark, XGBoost, etc.)
• Knowledge of SQL and previous experience working with classification problems are considered an advantage
• Comprehensive analytical and problem-solving skills
• Open-mindedness, with a willingness to consider new ideas and perspectives
• Take charge of projects and provide guidance to junior team members in their daily activities
• Advanced skills in spoken and written English

We will ensure that exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary range from 3280 EUR to 4920 EUR gross EUR/monthly).
