Lead DevOps Engineer

Right now, we are looking for Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team.

My name is Jūratė Grigoraitė a Head Product and Order Management team @ Telia Group IT Core Commerce. My team is responsible for development, delivery, maintenance and operations of the Common Product and Order Management solution deployed across currently two markets (B2B Sweden/B2C Finland) with prospects for further uptake.

Your next opportunity?

You will be an important and instrumental partner in helping me to build DevOps Competence Center here in Vilnius with the purpose to look after target platform and components in a common consolidated way. The solution is based on Ericsson products. It supports centralized product catalogue and enables zero touch automation across order to activation.

Your main responsibility will be system setup, deployments, and operations & maintenance. In addition to application support & maintenance work, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive DevOps strategy, included but not limited to version control, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and deployment automation.

Other responsibilities:

• Evaluate, implement, and manage DevOps tools and technologies
• Technically drive the tasks related to building a CI/CD pipeline, setting up and configuring CI/CD tools
• Collaborate with security teams to integrate robust security measures
• Implement incident management processes and tools
• Optimize system performance, resource utilization, and application responsiveness
• Implement monitoring/alerting solutions
• Continuously monitoring application health and making technical decisions based on analyzed results
• Carry out technical supervision and coaching other colleagues
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test and production environments
• Maintenance of the Ericsson Catalogue manager and Order Care systems and interfaces with other systems
• Application deployments and configuration changes to support new releases
• Participate in technical discussions and act as an expert consultant for the internal stakeholders & external partners
• On call duty

Who are you?

Besides previous experience in a DevOps or similar senior technical specialist role, key success factor is a curiosity and eagerness to learn new things. I am looking for an ambitious professional who would be a quick learner and willing to take an ownership for the service and support insourcing agenda at pace.

Your Experience and Personality:

• Proficiency in automation tools like Ansible for configuration management, application feature deployment, and orchestration across multiple systems
• Experience with container management platforms
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage CI/CD pipelines
• Experience supporting and working with high availability applications
• Knowledge on SQL databases (including data manipulation via SQL)
• A degree in IT or related field
• Good communication skills & collaboration with others
• Self-organized and structured
• Adaptive, persistent and willing to take an initiative
• Fluent English (must)
• Scripting/programming skills – Java or any other modern language (an advantage)
