In your role as the Process Architecture Lead, you'll report to me, Sweta Velambath, the Head of Business Process Management. Your primary responsibility is to steer the direction of Process Architecture within our overarching Business Process Management framework. This task demands a hands-on collaboration with a Business Process Architect and members from both the Process architecture and Enterprise architecture communities, with the goal of crafting unambiguous, actionable guidelines for the definition, documentation, and maintenance of our business processes.

You will be the go-to person for making sure that the way we visualize and understand our workflows — our 'process map' — stays clear, up-to-date, and useful. You'll be responsible for creating clear standards for documenting processes and ensuring these are followed in our Global Business Architecture Repository Tool. Moreover, you will be responsible for the development of this repository tool, enhancing its utility and accessibility for the company.

Your leadership will be key in handling complex, cross-market transformation projects targeted at fostering process harmonization and establishing a process-centric culture throughout Telia. Your critical thinking will be invaluable in rethinking how we do things, with a keen eye for making our operations smoother, more profitable, and better for our customers. This will often mean figuring out when and where to introduce new technologies or improved workflows. You will ensure these improved processes are documented in simple, clear ways that everyone can follow.

You will support me with promoting a culture of continuous process improvement and heightened process awareness within the company. Your guidance will be indispensable to process owners and their teams as you coach them to define, document, and maintain their processes following the established architectural guidelines.

We are searching for an individual with demonstrated experience in spearheading process architecture development, preferably within the Telecoms sector. As the Process Architecture Lead, you possess the ability to break down large, complex tasks into manageable modules and plan efficiently. Your comprehensive understanding of intricate details and ability to contribute to the bigger picture are crucial to our team. You have a skill for building trust across your team and other areas, motivating people to explore unfamiliar territories. Effective coordination and inclusive collaboration with the Process Architecture, Process Owners, and Manager, and Enterprise Architecture communities is essential. Other important qualities are a can-do approach, perseverance, and the ability to drive change.

Your personality

  • Your work is defined by a focus on making things better, clear communication, and paying attention to the details.
  • You're good at strategizing and working with others, able to simplify complex ideas so everyone can understand them.
  • You are curious about the latest IT and technological trends, exploring how technologies, such as AI, drive new customer and business benefits.

Your experience

  • You have a relevant university/college degree (or equivalent) in business or technology.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in managing business process architecture and design, showcasing your skill in managing documentation and standards adherence globally. Preferably in Telecoms industry.
  • You're skilled in using tools for Business Process Modeling Notation (like ARIS) and know your way around Enterprise Architecture frameworks that are important in Telecoms, such as eTOM and ITIL.
  • You have experience managing big projects across different areas, showing you can handle large and complex tasks.
  • You've successfully helped to create a culture in your workplace that focuses on improving processes and making things run better.
