The successful candidate will join Luminor's Compliance Office. Our team is responsible for advising Luminor's business and support lines on implementing various initiatives, managing compliance risks, conducting independent assessments of compliance status, and advising management on ensuring regulatory compliance.

As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will be part of Luminor's second line of defence, where you will independently advise, monitor, assess, challenge, and report on compliance risks related to investment and ancillary services. You will work closely with stakeholders across Luminor on ambitious projects and initiatives.

Collaborating with other internal control functions and team members, you will assess and advise on frameworks, processes, and control environments for investment and ancillary services. You will also provide recommendations for redesign and improvement to meet supervisory expectations.

    • Gross salary. 3500-4400 EUR/month, which is to be determined depending on your level of experience and competencies

    What You Will Do:

    •  Contributing to building regulatory compliance in investment and ancillary services (focus on markets and treasury) through independent compliance risk assessment and compliance advisory, assurance and awareness-raising activities
    • Assessing and overseeing compliance risk management in the first-line
    • Understanding the regulatory environment, emerging trends, regulatory focus and supervisory expectations to support proper compliance risk management
    • Providing advice and guidance concerning the regulatory requirements applicable to investment and ancillary services and redesigning the relevant frameworks, processes and controls to ensure their effectiveness and conformity with the regulations
    • Monitoring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations and following up on the remediation actions
    • Overseeing various regulatory projects in the assigned area
    • Conducting training and other awareness-raising activities on regulatory requirements
    • Providing insight, support and guidance to Luminor’s managing bodies and contributing to independent compliance risk reporting

    What We Expect: 

    • Master’s degree in law
    • 3+ years of experience in investment services and/or financial markets (work experience in a bank’s compliance or legal function would be seen as an advantage)
    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the European and local regulations about investment services and experience in their implementation
    • Professional certifications (CFA, BFAA or similar) would be seen as an advantage
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to effectively communicate information to audiences with varying levels of knowledge and expertise
    • Ability to think outside the box, view the wider organizational risk picture and how different risks interconnect with one another
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on a pan-Baltic level
    • A high degree of English language competency, written and spoken
