Lead Developer/Engineering Site Lead

The company is looking for a foundational engineering leader to build and scale its technology hub in Lithuania.

This is not just another Engineering Manager role.

This is the first and most critical hire in the region — someone who will represent the CTO locally, build the team, and take full ownership of engineering delivery in Lithuania.

What You Will Do

• Build and scale a local engineering team (10–20+ people)
• Lead backend, frontend, QA automation, and DevOps functions
• Start hands-on and gradually transition toward broader leadership and delivery ownership
• Challenge engineers technically and ensure high engineering standards
• Establish strong processes for a 24/7 high-availability environment
• Act as a trusted extension of the CTO in Lithuania
• Drive hiring, mentoring, and long-term team development

Tech Environment

• Backend: C#, .NET (latest versions, e.g., .NET 8), SQL Server
• APIs, stored procedures, high-transaction systems
• Frontend: Vue.js or Angular
• QA automation
• DevOps: CI/CD, monitoring, deployments
• Cloud environment (AWS)
• AI awareness (RAG concepts, AI tooling) is a plus

This is a high-scale, high-responsibility environment where reliability, automation, and incident readiness are essential.

Who They Are Looking For

• Strong technical background (ideally backend-focused)
• Experience leading engineering teams
• Ability to challenge and guide senior engineers
• Experience in high-scale or mission-critical systems
• Comfortable working in regulated environments
• Proven ability to grow teams and deliver results

Fintech experience is a plus, but not mandatory. Experience in payments, gaming, large-scale e-commerce, telecom, or other high-throughput environments is equally valuable.
