Job description:

Provide leadership and technical guidance to design teams
Lead technical decision making and ensure engineering excellence
Establish clear direction, structure, and processes within a growing team
Develop and implement mechanical engineering principles, best practices, and know-how, ensuring knowledge capture and sharing
Own and oversee more complex systems and technical solutions end-to-end
Mentor team members and support their technical growth and understanding of system-level thinking
Ensure effective collaboration within the team and across functions through clear communication
Support gradual team scaling by helping define roles, mature processes, and prepare for future growth
Perform conceptual and detailed mechanical design
Conduct simulations and analysis to validate designs
Prepare and maintain technical documentation
Organize and lead prototyping, testing, and iterative improvements.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in aerospace, robotics, or mechatronics background.
Proven experience working with mechanical systems involving high precision and complex design nuances
Good understanding of aerodynamics principles
Hands-on engineering mindset with the ability to design, build, test
Proficiency in CAD and SolidWorks
Experience organizing or contributing to R&D activities, including experimentation, prototyping, and validation
Strong problem-solving skills with a creative and practical approach
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Strong leadership skills with experience guiding and supporting engineering teams
Experience in establishing, structuring, and improving mechanical engineering team processes
