Microsoft 365 Engineer / SME

In this role, you will act as a Microsoft 365 technical expert with a strong focus on tenant governance, licensing, and core platform ownership, including Exchange (hybrid) and collaboration services (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive). You will be responsible for managing and maintaining Microsoft 365 licensing across the tenant, ensuring correct configuration, compliance, and alignment with business and technical requirements. In addition, you will support complex escalations, contribute to root cause analysis, and collaborate with global vendors and internal teams to ensure stable and high-quality Microsoft 365 service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Act as Subject Matter Expert for Microsoft 365, with focus on Exchange (on-prem and online), Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
• Take ownership of Microsoft 365 tenant governance and licensing management
• Support vendors during 3rd-level escalations and participate in root cause analysis
• Design, test (pilot), and validate Microsoft 365 solutions before production rollout
• Document solutions and ensure structured handover to vendors for implementation and ongoing support
• Act as a technical authority for Microsoft 365 services within a global environment
• Advise internal IT teams and stakeholders on Microsoft 365 architecture, operations, and best practices
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 service stability and governance

• Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 tenant administration and governance
• Solid experience with Exchange (on-prem and online)
• Good understanding of Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
• Experience with Microsoft 365 licensing management and optimization
• Experience working with vendors and handling L3 escalations and root cause analysis
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in complex enterprise environments
• Experience working in global, distributed IT organizations
• Fluent English communication skills
