Job description:

Let us introduce ourselves! We are a team of curious hackers & tinkerers who love building innovative projects simply for the joy of it. At our core, we are a B2B engineering company developing high-tech systems for helicopters,  airplanes, and other vehicles. Think airborne precision laser scanners, high-resolution and thermal cameras, fiber-optic gyros, satellite communications, and beyond. Occasionally, we hop on board an aircraft to test what we’ve built, which is sometimes a perfectly valid excuse just to get up in the sky.

We genuinely love what we do, and it just so happens we’ve built one of the most advanced systems of its kind on the market (for real!). Today, we deliver it worldwide to geospatial companies, utilities, helicopter operators, and other businesses. They use our systems to detect defects and potential issues in critical infrastructure such as power lines,  railroads, and pipelines across the globe - from Europe and the Americas to Africa and even Antarctica.

You would be a part of the team, working on a software solution that controls all aspects of aerial data collection and pilot navigation. This includes:

  • Interfacing with hardware devices (e.g., cameras, lasers, gimbals, power controllers).
  • Back-end services for running navigation routines, real-time data assessment and storage, mission status tracking, flight optimization, hardware control, etc.
  • Main software application package to integrate and orchestrate the above.

Requirements:

  • Commercial experience with Python and C++.
  • Hands-on software engineering experience.
  • Experience with Rust.
  • Good knowledge of docker.
  • Multi-threaded applications.
  • Capable with Linux and bash.
  • Working with databases (PostgreSQL).
  • Software testing.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with gRPC.
  • Embedded development.
  • Experience working with external devices (industrial cameras, gimbals, lidars) and 3rd party device SDKs.
  • Communicating with external hardware (over Ethernet, USB, Serial, etc.).
  • Understanding how photography works.
  • Advanced Linux User/Admin.
  • CI/CD setup & maintenance, CMake.
  • Knowledge of GIS & Geospatial.
  • Have participated in No Trolls Allowed.

Company offers:

  • Flexible work hours.
  • Work from home or the office, as you prefer.
  • Exposure to high-end technologies, devices, and aviation.
  • Engaging and challenging projects that allow growing and learning.
  • A real chance to influence company-wide technological decisions.
  • Exciting team-building experiences, from scuba diving in the Red Sea to safaris in Tanzania.
  • A practical office and workshop environment in Vilnius.
  • Open and accessible workshop facilities for hands-on work, including personal projects after hours.
  • A fast-growing company at the forefront of aerial data collection with all the thrills, growth, and career opportunities.
  • The opportunity to get on an aircraft to test your creations and see the “big picture”.
