Senior Application Developer

In this role, you will join a multi-national Agile squad (Access Gateway) responsible for connectivity, integrations, and platform reliability across the Digital Euro ecosystem.

This position sits at the intersection of integration engineering, platform operations, and DevOps practices. You will work closely with system teams, architects, and engineers across multiple countries, ensuring reliable data flows, stable integrations, and high observability of critical services.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Configure and maintain monitoring and observability dashboards based on the ELK stack (logs, metrics, traces).
• Troubleshoot integration issues (latency, timeouts, data inconsistency) and coordinate fixes with involved teams.
• Design and implement automation workflows triggered by alerts (e.g. automated remediation scripts, ticket creation, email notifications) to reduce manual intervention and improve incident response time.

• Strong ability to quickly understand and analyze complex infrastructure architectures.
• Senior experience designing or supporting integrations between distributed systems.
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD practices, Git-based workflows, automated testing, and deployment strategies.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing), ideally ELK-based solutions.
• Good understanding of system reliability, incident management, and operational best practices.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in international teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Background in highly regulated environments (banking, fintech, payments, large-scale platforms).
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, MQ).
