In Group Functions Compliance we are overseeing, advising, and guiding Danske Bank’s Group Functions (i.e., all back-office, IT, service, administration, and support functions consisting of +10.000 employees) on their management of regulatory compliance and conduct risk.

We are eight members in our team who are located in both Lithuania (three members) and Denmark (five members). While you will be focusing on are overseeing, advising, and guiding Danske Bank’s Group Functions, you will also collaborate with colleagues across Group Compliance to ensure a sufficient level of compliance oversight, reporting, and alignment to Group standards.

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to work from our office in Vilnius, Lithuania.

You will provide second line of defence coverage of regulatory compliance and conduct risk within the bank’s Group Functions. In your role you will act primarily as one of the day-to-day compliance officers for the Technology & Service area, helping to support the banks digital agenda.  However as, Group Functions Advisory also covers other Group Functions (e.g., Finance, Risk, Legal, HR, and more), which you will also have the opportunity to work with and cover these areas too.

You will be exposed to various compliance oversight activities, such as compliance monitoring, policy reviews, risk assessments, control testing, compliance training and compliance investigations. Furthermore, you will be representing Group Compliance at various risk councils in the Technology & Service area, and thereby support the Head of Group Functions Compliance in the oversight of the Group Function. Subsequently, your role would not only be limited to advice and challenge the Technology & Service area, but also to act as a point of contact into the compliance function.

Mission

• Proactively participate in identifying, assessing, mitigating, and reporting of compliance risks
• Collaborate with and advice Group Functions and management on all compliance issues, including helping support digitalisation and coverage of Gen AI and AI build out
• Maintain a thorough understanding of policies, processes, and procedures to ensure the impact of regulatory issues can be effectively assessed
• Train employees in compliance disciplines with attention to the key risk areas
• Identify, escalate and report any issues where non-compliance is not addressed
• Monitor, test, and report on Group Function’s compliance with applicable legislation, regulation, internal rules, and standards
• Align and collaborate with key stakeholders on the identification and management of compliance risks, for example local/country Compliance Officers, Data Protection Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, and Legal

Skills

• Preferably have 2 or more years of experience in a Compliance, or similar area such as Governance, Risk Management and Controls, or in a comparable position within the financial services industry
• Open-minded, eager to learn, and comfortable with working independently
• Analytical and structured approach with a high attention to details
• Comfortable approaching, communicating, and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels of seniority
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
• Higher Education, preferably in Business, Economics, Law or alike
• Advanced English language skills

We will ensure that exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary range from 2400 EUR to 3600 EUR gross EUR/monthly).

Your title in job contract will be Officer - Compliance.
