GL Team Lead

As a GL Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a highly experienced General Ledger team, ensuring timely and accurate month-end closing, driving process improvements, and actively participating in strategic finance projects across the organization. This role combines people leadership with a focus on process excellence, automation, and the integration of new acquisitions.

Responsibilities:

•  Lead, coach, and motivate a team of finance professionals.
• Oversee the month-end closing process, ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Act as the first point of contact for team-wide questions, escalations, and best practice sharing.
• Drive standardization, automation, and efficiency improvements within GL processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
• Participate in strategic finance projects, collaborating with other departments and senior stakeholders.
• Foster a feedback-oriented and collaborative team culture.

• Proven experience in leading a finance or GL/accounting team.
• Experience working across multiple legal entities or jurisdictions.
• Strong understanding of GL processes, month-end activities, and financial controls.
• Strategic thinking and ability to see the “bigger picture”.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with senior team members.
• Process-oriented mindset and interest in automation, system improvements, or project ownership.
• Fluency in English.
